Opglabbeek ( Limburgish : Glabbek ) is a former Belgian municipality in the arrondissement of Hasselt in the province of Limburg . Since January 1, 2019, she and the municipality of Meeuwen-Gruitrode have belonged to the new municipality of Oudsbergen in the Maaseik arrondissement .

Opglabbeek is located around 25 kilometers from the provincial capital Hasselt in the center of the Limburg province. It bordered the city of Genk and the communities As , Maaseik , Meeuwen-Gruitrode and Houthalen-Helchteren .

The place is crossed by two intersecting main roads.

The next motorway exits are at Genk on the A2 / E 314 .
