Mehmet Çakır (born January 4, 1984 in Ankara ) is a Turkish football player.
Career
Career
Çakır started at his hometown club Ankara Şekerspor . Here he played for a season in the 2nd Turkish league . Subsequently, the city rival and first division team Gençlerbirliği Ankara Çakır, there he played again in the 2nd division for Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ the second team Gençlerbirliğis. After 2 years of commitment, he played for the first team for the first time. In the current season he has scored 3 goals after 4 game days.
In the spring of 2011 he moved to the traditional Turkish club Trabzonspor . After he could not convince here, he left this club in September 2011 and went to league rivals Kardemir Karabükspor . Here he played until the summer of 2012 and left the club by mutual agreement. From January 12, 2013 he was under contract with Elazığspor .
In the last days of the summer transfer period, he signed a two-year contract with his old club MKE Ankaragücü . He returned to Elazığspor in summer 2014 and left at the end of April 2015. For the new season he moved to league rivals Samsunspor . In the winter transfer period 2016/17 he moved to third division Kastamonuspor in 1966 .
