Mehmet Ali Birand
Mehmet Ali Birand (born December 9, 1941 in Istanbul , † January 17, 2013 ) was a Turkish journalist .
From 1964 he wrote for the daily Milliyet . From 1992 he also worked on television as a news anchor and talk show host for TRT , Show TV, CNN Türk and Kanal D. In 1988 he received the Sedat Simavi Prize for Journalism.
He died of heart failure during an operation.
