The multi-purpose transport vehicle with loading aid , MZF (RP) for short, is a "other fire-fighting vehicle" in the sense of the European standard EN 1846-1, suitable for accommodating at least one squad (1/2 = 3 men) and a fire-fighting load listed below. It represents a special case of the vehicle class of multi-purpose vehicles and is standardized in accordance with the Technical Guideline No. 5 of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Multi-purpose transport vehicles are intended to be used as replenishment vehicles to transport necessary equipment and special extinguishing agents. For this purpose, they should be universally applicable. With a permanently assigned load, MZF (RP) can be used, for example, as a respiratory protection equipment trolley or as a hose trolley or can be further developed into these vehicles. Multi-purpose transport vehicles also serve as the basis for equipment trolleys for care , equipment trolleys for medical services and equipment trolleys for catering in the respective country-specific version.
