Meike Blatnik

Meike Blatnik (* 1974 ) is a German translator .

Life

Meike Blatnik completed a degree in modern German literature and philosophy in Berlin , which she completed with a master's degree. During her studies she gained experience as a freelance journalist , and between 2003 and 2016 she worked for Berlin Verlag . She currently works in the press and public relations department at Ullstein Verlag. Since 2006 she has been translating narrative texts for children and adults from Dutch into German .

In 2011, Bibi Dumon Tak 's book “Kuckuck, Krake, Kakerlake”, which she had translated, was named Children's and Young People's Audio Book of the Year ; In 2013 Blatnik received a working grant from the German Translation Fund .

Meike Blatnik is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ.
