The milestone in Trebitz is a small monument in the town of Könnern in the Salzlandkreis in Saxony-Anhalt .

The major construction project of a road from Magdeburg via Halle (Saale) to Großkugel on the Saxon border was only to be the first of numerous such long stone roads that Prussia would implement in the 19th century. It began in 1786, construction began in 1788 and the section until shortly before Anhalt was completed in 1792, but then there were delays and the Prussian State Chamber was only opened for the entire length of 11 miles in 1801. The milestones south of Peißen are therefore younger than those in the Magdeburg– Neugattersleben section .

The whole milestone in Trebitz , north of Könnern, is one of these more recent milestones . Unfortunately, this valuable monument is only partially preserved, once it had an obelisk on the preserved stone, as can still be seen in Grube Ferdinande , Nauendorf or even at the older milestone in Magdeburg . Only the base and base are preserved, the former top of the obelisk was filled with concrete. This former obelisk stood seven miles from Magdeburg and thus four miles from Halle. The preserved inscription 30.0 corresponds to this second distance . This used to be painted on (black on white).

The distance stone is under monument protection and has the registration number 094 60839 in the monument register . During a road renovation in 2011, the stone was paved with the sidewalk, so that the base is no longer visible today because it disappeared under the pavement.
