Meinolf Koch (born July 12, 1957 in Bad Sassendorf ) is a former German soccer player . For Borussia Dortmund , the defensive player played a total of 140 league games in the Bundesliga between 1979 and 1985 , scoring ten goals. Koch was used by the DFB twice in 1980 and 1981 in the national B team and once in the Olympic team in 1982 .

career

Koch played his entire professional career for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga . He was active for Borussia for a total of seven years. He played his first Bundesliga game on February 2, 1980 against Werder Bremen under coach Udo Lattek . In total, he was used 140 times and scored ten hits. He scored two goals in the game on matchday 30 of the 1981/82 season in a 4-0 win against Karlsruher SC .

There were also four appearances in the DFB Cup , including the semi-final in 1980, which was lost to Fortuna Düsseldorf . He made his biggest appearance in the two first round matches in the 1982/83 UEFA Cup against the Glasgow Rangers , when he replaced the injured Rolf Rüssmann in the second leg on September 29, 1982 in Glasgow.
