Meinrad Sadil
Meinrad Sadil OSB (born July 30, 1864 in Nebes (Nedvězí), Moravia ; † March 5, 1943 in Wernstein am Inn ; actually Franz Richard Sadil ) was an Austrian Roman Catholic writer and schoolboy .
Life
Sadil, the son of a metalworker, entered the Scots Abbey in Vienna in 1883 and studied theology at the University of Vienna from 1884 to 1888 . In 1888 he was ordained a priest. From 1888 to 1891 he studied German with Richard Heinzel and Jakob Minor as well as classical philology . From 1895 until his retirement in 1936 he taught German and Latin at the Schottengymnasium .
Sadil became known for his literary activities, especially for his dramatic works.
