Meister des Schöppinger Altar (also: Meister von Schöppingen ) is the emergency name of a painter who was probably working in Münster between 1450 and 1475 .

The unknown artist was named after his important late work, the winged altar in the church of St. Brictius in Schöppingen . This altar shows a crucifixion scene on the middle panel , the birth of Christ, the Annunciation and themes of the Passion on the wings. The master of the Schöppinger altar shows influences from Rogier van der Weyden as well as from the master von Flémalle .

In Münster he was likely to have worked with the painter Johann Koerbecke .
