Westphalian art

Westphalian Art called himself a 1954 in the German art publisher published book series , the first from public curator Theodor Rensing was issued. From 1961 Hermann Busen acted as publisher .

The buildings and works of art of various Westphalian cities and regions were presented in the individual volumes, which in terms of their furnishings were based on the series " Deutsche Lande - Deutsche Kunst ", also published by Deutscher Kunstverlag . Some issues also dealt with artists from Westphalia. All volumes, some of which appeared in several editions, were provided with numerous, mostly black and white illustrations. The last edition published in 1990 was a book about Paderborn Cathedral.

The forerunners of the series were the “ Westfälische Kunsthefte ” published by the Provincial Curator Johannes Körner .
