The 2009/10 season was the 20th season of the Meistriliiga , the highest Estonian ice hockey division . Master became Kohtla-Järve Viru Sputnik .

In the main round, the three teams played 16 games each. The first place in the main round was champion. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a tie and defeat after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
