The Mella is an Italian river that is 96 kilometers long and flows through the northern Italian Val Trompia above Brescia . The river flows into the Oglio , a tributary of the Po , at Ostiano .

The spelling has already been proven in Roman times , including in Catullus . In the local dialect, the male Mella in Italian is called 'la Mèla'.
