Memduh Şevket Esendal , M. Ş for short . E. (born March 29, 1883 in Çorlu , † 1952 in Istanbul ), was a Turkish writer . He was also the Turkish Ambassador in Baku , Tehran and Kabul , Secretary General of the CHP and a teacher .

In 1925 Esendal published under the abbreviation of his name M. Ş. E. alone 35 stories for the illustrated weekly Meslek Gazetesi . His work, which essentially covers the world of the poorer classes of society, e. B. depicts the peasant, is unaffected by literary trends.
