Menhir du Cloître

The approximately 8.0 m high phallic menhir du Cloître (also called the menhir of St-Guinec ) is made of blue Brennilis granite and is located southeast of the hamlet of Le Cloître, northeast of the D 764 road, about 3.2 kilometers west of Huelgoat in the department Finistère in Brittany in France .

As with the menhir of Kerampeulven its flat side towards which is vertical cave Grotte du Diable ( French Trou au Diable ) directed.

Paul Chatellier tells of another large menhir that was destroyed by stonemasons. The field names confirm the presence of other menhirs ( Peulven Pella, Peulven Mari, Peulven Arm and Peulven Bihan ).
