Meremäe (German: Merremäggi ) is a former rural community in the Estonian district of Võru with an area of ​​132 km². It had 1007 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Since 2017 it has been part of the newly formed rural community of Setomaa .

Meremäe is 34 km east-south-east of Võru and 104 km from Tartu in the east of the district on the border with Russia . The distance to Pechory ( Estonian Petseri , German Pechur ) is 14 km.
