Meryem Uzerli

Meryem Uzerli (born August 12, 1983 in Kassel ) is a German-Turkish actress .

Life and accomplishments

Uzerli is the daughter of a German teacher and a Turkish social scientist . She grew up in Kassel with her sister and two older brothers. She graduated from the Waldorf School there with secondary school leaving certificate and was the youngest student of all time to attend the Frese Drama Studio in Hamburg .

In Turkey she is known for her role as Hürrem Sultan ( Sultan Süleyman's favorite wife) in the television series Muhteşem Yüzyıl (The Magnificent Century). The series was sold in more than 70 countries and has more than 400 million fans worldwide.

Uzerli learned the Turkish language for the role of Hürrem Sultan .

In 2013, her exit from the series and her return to Berlin was announced and she announced that she was pregnant. Your daughter was born in 2014.

Since then she has played in various successful series and films.
