The Mesta Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Места wrach Mesta ) is a 400 m high and pointed mountain on the Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the Delchev Ridge of the Tangra Mountains, it rises 1.6 km east to north of Kalojan Nunatak , 1.05 km northeast to east of Shabla Knoll and 1.95 km southwest to west of Renier Point . The eastern branch of the Sopot Piedmont Glacier lies north of it.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2004 after the Mesta River (also known as Nestos ) in Bulgaria and northern Greece .
