Met het Oog op Morgen (German: With an eye on tomorrow ) is a radio program by the Dutch NOS , which is broadcast daily between 23:00 and 00:00 on NPO Radio 1 , with one repetition as a podcast .

The show has been around since January 5, 1976 . The idea for a detailed news broadcast in the late evening came from radio veteran Kees Buurman . The first broadcast was hosted by Han Mulder . Since then, the program has started and ended with a special version of the song Gute Nacht, Freunde von Reinhard Mey in German. The only exception is on May 4th and the French recording is broadcast.

First it was broadcast on the station Hilversum 3 , later the program moved to Hilversum 2 , which was renamed Radio 1 (today: NPO Radio 1).

Het Oog (dt .: The Eye ) brings background information to the latest news every day, including a. through interviews with guests in the studio who appear in the news or know a lot about the background of current events. The headlines of the morning papers of the next day are also presented (hence the name of the program).

Met het Oog op Morgen has the largest market share of public and private radio in the Netherlands at around 40% during its airtime . The success of the eye is u. a. in the personalities and quality of its moderators. Journalists such as Koos Postema , Hanneke Groenteman and Joop van Zijl as well as currently Jeroen Pauw , Stephan Sanders and Tijs van den Brink gave and give the eye its own note every evening.

A similar format is broadcast by some of the ARD broadcasters under the title Reports from Today .
