The Metall Zug Group comprises the three business areas of household appliances, infection control and wire processing.

The household appliances division , consisting of V-ZUG AG with its foreign subsidiaries V-ZUG Australia and V-ZUG Europe as well as V-ZUG Kühltechnik AG, SIBIR Group AG and Gehrig Group AG, is responsible for the development, production and sales of Household appliances for the kitchen and laundry room as well as corresponding appliances for the catering trade At the beginning of 2013, the refrigeration unit of the Arbonia Forster Group (AFG) was taken over.

The Belimed Group Infection Control is one of the leading international providers of innovative systems in the field of infection control. Belimed develops, produces and sells equipment and complete systems for cleaning , disinfection and sterilization in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors .

The Wire Processing division comprises the Schleuniger Group , which was acquired in January 2008 and is active in the manufacture of wire processing machines . Schleuniger develops, produces and sells semi-automatic and fully automatic machines for cutting to length and cutting, stripping and crimping, sealing, twisting, tinning and printing all types of cables. Schleuniger also offers software packages that optimize machine efficiency and utilization, especially for complex jobs.

history

The company was founded in Zug in 1887 as a metal goods factory. The Zug galvanizing plant was founded in 1913.

In 1950 the company launched its first automatic washing machine , which was followed by the launch of its first tumble dryer in 1959 . In 1962, the company launched its first dishwasher .

In 1976 the metal goods factory and the Zug galvanizing plant were merged to form V-Zug AG. Production was gradually moved from the Metalli area to the galvanizing plant.

In 1983, MZ-Immobilien AG started designing the 40,000 square meter area of ​​the metal goods factory in Zug as the client . Construction took place in four stages between 1987 and 1994.

In the 1990s, the corporate group took over various companies abroad and in Switzerland via V-Zug AG, which were later merged to form the Belimed Group, such as Kleindienst-Belimed in Augsburg (Germany) in 1995, and Avenatech, Inc. in Miami (USA ) in 1996 ), 1997 the Netzsch Belimed in Waldkraiburg (Germany) and the Belimed in Grosuplje (Slovenia) and 1999 the Swiss Sauter Group in Sulgen.
