Metin Gür
Metin Gür (* 1939 in Malatya , Turkey) is a German-Turkish journalist , publicist and non-fiction author .
After immigrating to the Federal Republic of Germany, Gür mainly dealt with migrant issues, for example, wrote about Turkish working-class families in the Federal Republic (1987), Turkish youths in German prisons (1990) and the right-wing extremist assassination attempt in Solingen (1996).
After extensive work on Turkish-Islamic associations in the Federal Republic of Germany (1993), the opponent of radical Muslims has primarily researched the activities of movements such as Millî Görüş or the Kaplan Group in recent years . In 2007, he got in German and Turkish headlines in this context after a website pretending to be "Milli Görüs Forum" with, according to its own statements, 5000 members called him a "godless communist, an infidel, an enemy of Erbakan " and his own Members urged Gür to "warn".
