Mette Halvorsen (born January 19, 1965 ) is a Norwegian curler .

Halvorsen made her international debut at the 1983 European Junior Championships in Helsingborg , but she remained without a medal. In 1984 she won her first precious metal with a silver medal at the JEM in Edinburgh .

Halvorsen played as the lead of the Norwegian team in the XV. 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and second at the XVI. 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville in curling. In 1988, Skip Trine Trulsen's team won an Olympic bronze medal. Four years later, Dordi Nordby's team won the Olympic silver medal after losing 3: 9 in the final against Germany to Skip Andrea Schöpp . Since curling was still a demonstration sport at that time, the medals have no official status.
