Miami Rockabilly is a compilation - album of Ace Records . It contains previously unreleased and rare rockabilly songs, all recorded by local musicians from and in Miami . The CD reflects Miami's rockabilly and rock'n'roll scene, which was very active in the 1950s and 1960s. Many of the songs on this album were mostly only pressed a hundred times and are rarities. Also included is an 11-page booklet by Rob Finnis, which briefly introduces the artists, the labels and the music scene itself.

The most famous artist on the CD is Tommy Spurlin , whose title Hang Loose is also included. The song gained tremendous value among collectors during the rockabilly revival in the 1970s. Other performers include Buck Trail , The Rhythm Rockets and Kent Westberry , who would later become a sought-after songwriter in Nashville , Tennessee .
