Michèle Knodt

Michèle Knodt (born April 19, 1967 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German political scientist .

Career

From 1986 to 1992 she completed a master’s degree in political science at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Knodt wrote her dissertation on regional governance in the European multilevel system. An interpretive comparison between Baden-Württemberg and Lower Saxony at the University of Mannheim in 1997. She completed her habilitation in 2004 with Beate Kohler-Koch at the University of Mannheim on the subject of governance in the expanded European multilevel system - the international integration of the EU . Since 2005 Knodt has held the chair for comparative analysis of political systems and integration research at the Institute for Political Science at the Technical University of Darmstadt .

From 2011 to 2015, Knodt was Dean of Faculty 2 at TU Darmstadt. She has a son.
