Michał Butkiewicz (born August 18, 1942 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish sword fencer .
successes
Michał Butkiewicz became vice world champion with the team in Ankara in 1970 . At the Olympic Games in Mexico City in 1968 he reached the battle for third place with the Polish team, in which Germany was defeated 9: 6. Together with Bohdan Andrzejewski , Kazimierz Barburski , Bohdan Gonsior and Henryk Nielaba , Butkiewicz received the bronze medal. In 1963 and 1967 he was Polish champion with the sword.
He holds a PhD in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics .
