Michael Bartels (* 19th April 1975 in Bremen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

Life

education and profession

Bartels studied law and economics at the University of Bremen for many years - each without a degree . After completing commercial training as an industrial clerk, he is a commercial clerk at the energy supplier swb AG in Bremen.

In 1991 Bartels joined the CDU and the Junge Union (JU). From 2002–2005 Bartels was deputy state chairman of the Junge Union in Bremen. In 2002 Michael Bartels became a member of the CDU state executive committee in Bremen. Since 2003 he has been chairman of the district association of the Junge Union Bremen-Nord. Since February 2004 he has been chairman of the CDU district association of Bremen-Burglesum. This is the southernmost association in the north of Bremen. Bartels has also been one of the three deputy chairmen of the CDU district association Bremen-Nord, along with Silvia Neumeyer ( Member of the Bundestag ) and Rainer Bensch, since March 2004 ; the chairman is Helmut Pflugradt ( Member of the Bundestag ).

Bartels was from 2003 to 2004 and again from 2005 to 2011. Member of the Bremen Parliament. He was the social policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group.

He was represented in the KiTa Bremen and Werkstatt Bremen works committees, in the committees for youth welfare, petitions, law, budgetary and finance as well as auditing and in the deputation for social affairs, youth, senior citizens and the integration of foreigners.

Bartels is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bremen Community Foundation .
