Michael Booker (born April 27, 1975 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is a retired American football player on the position of cornerback . He played for the Atlanta Falcons and the Tennessee Titans in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Booker attended high school in Oceanside , California . He later attended the University of Nebraska . With the university's college football team, Booker won the 1996 Fiesta Bowl . In this game he managed an interception , which he carried back to the touchdown . His performance was rewarded with the defensive MVP title.

NFL

Atlanta Falcons

Booker was selected in the 1997 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons in eleventh place in the first round. In his second season he won the NFC title with the Falcons and played in Super Bowl XXXIII , which was lost to the Denver Broncos at 19:34 .

Tennessee Titans

After three years with the Falcons, Booker joined the Tennessee Titans . He stayed here for two years and then ended his career.
