Michael Brown (* 15. June 1958 in Olbernhau ) is a former German football player in the defense . He played for BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR league .

Career

In his youth, Braun played for the BSG activist Black Pump . In 1975 he then moved to BSG Energie Cottbus. There he made his debut in the cup game against BSG Chemie Velten on August 13, 1977, which Cottbus won 6-1. Braun had his first appearance with the men's team in the second-rate GDR league in the 1978/79 season . However, he only played three games this season. In the following two seasons he came in 1979/80 on 22 and 1980/81 on 18 missions. In 1980/81 he also scored his first league goal for Cottbus. After the subsequent promotion to the GDR league, Braun was used ten times in the 1981/82 season . 1982/83 he came after relegation to the GDR league only three appearances in the first team and also completed four games for the representation in the district league, where he met once. In 1983, Braun switched to his youth club, the BSG activist Black Pump, for which he also played in part in the GDR league. He then went to SC Siemensstadt in 1990 , where he stayed until 1993. After that, Braun was hired by FSV Hoyerswerda , where he ended his professional career in 1996.

From 2003 to 2004 Braun worked as a trainer at BSV Cottbus-Ost . He then coached various youth teams at FC Energie Cottbus. In 2011 he started a coaching position at VfB 1921 Krieschow , before moving to the upper division SG Blau-Gelb Laubsdorf in 2012 . Since the club separated from him in 2013, he has coached SV Fichte Kunersdorf.
