Michael Czupalla

Michael Czupalla (born August 7, 1950 in Delitzsch ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was district administrator in Saxony for 25 years, most recently until July 31, 2015 district administrator of the district of northern Saxony .

Live and act

Between 1967 and 1969 Czupalla trained as a toolmaker . He then took up studies at the Bergakademie Freiberg , which he graduated with a degree in engineering. After completing his studies, he worked as a department manager in the Delitzsch drawing mill until 1990 .

In May 1990, he was from Delitzsch county council to district administrator of the district Delitzsch selected.

From 1990 to 1994 he was district chairman of the CDU of the Delitzsch district . After the Saxon district reform in 1994 , he became CDU district chairman of the newly created Delitzsch-Eilenburg district and also its district administrator. Since 1991 he was the President of the East German Savings Bank Association . From March 20, 2006 to October 26, 2007, Czupalla was a member of the supervisory board of Landesbank Sachsen . In June 2008 he was elected to the district administrator of the district of North Saxony , which was newly created as a result of the Saxon district reform in 2008 .

In mid-January, Czupalla announced that he would not stand for re-election as district administrator on June 7, 2015 and that he would resign from his political office on July 31, 2015 - as well as his post as president of the East German Savings Bank Association after 25 years . Kai Emanuel was elected as Czupalla's successor as District Administrator on June 7, 2015 .

In addition, Czupalla was chairman of the supervisory board of the disposal, development and construction company Delitzsch mbH, the district hospital Torgau "Johann Kentmann" gGmbH, the district hospital Delitzsch GmbH and the Kurbetriebsgesellschaft Dübener Heide mbH.
