Michael Badger

Michael Dachs (born September 23, 1876 in Geiersthal , part of the Grandmühle municipality; † 1941 ) was a German composer and music theorist.

Life

He gained his first musical experience on the zither . He received further musical training in piano, violin, organ and harmony during his teacher training, which he completed in Deggendorf and Straubing . After a brief employment in the primary school from 1894 to 1900, he deepened his musical skills by studying in Eichstätt and in Munich at the Academy of Music (1903–05). From 1905 to 1924 he worked as a seminar music teacher at the teacher training institute in Freising . As a composer he mainly created sacred music.
