Michael Eisler-Terramare

Michael Eisler-Terramare , until 1919 Eisler von Terramare (born January 20, 1877 in Vienna , † February 10, 1970 ibid) was an Austrian pathologist .

Michael Eisler-Terramare studied at the University of Vienna and then worked at the Pathological-Anatomical Institute and the Medical-Chemical Institute. In 1910 he completed his habilitation and from 1916 was professor of general and experimental pathology. He was given leave of absence in 1938, forced retirement in 1939 and deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto in 1945 . In 1946 he was hired again. Eisler-Terramare reorganized the Serotherapeutic Institute as director and worked there well beyond his retirement .

  1. As a result of the Nobility Repeal Act , the nobility titles and predicates ceased to be part of the name in Austria on April 10, 1919.
