Michael Frege

Michael Frege (* 1959 in Düsseldorf ) is a German lawyer and insolvency administrator . In 2012 he became known in the media as the insolvency administrator of Lehman Brothers and Neckermann .

Career

Michael Frege is the son of a judge and a teacher of British descent. He grew up among five siblings. His older sister Judith Frege is a ballet dancer and book author, and his younger brother Andreas, known as Campino , is the front man of the band Die Toten Hosen . The grandfather Ludwig Frege was President of the Federal Administrative Court .

After studying law and business administration at the Free University of Berlin , he studied law and economics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . In 1990 he started working as a lawyer at Bender & Partner in Düsseldorf. In 1992 he worked as a lawyer at Weiss & Hasche , where he became a partner in 1997. In May 2000 he was admitted as a specialist lawyer for insolvency law and as a business mediator ( IHK ).
