Michael Gault (born April 15, 1983 in Lisburn ) is a Northern Irish football player .

Career

society

Gault started his career at Lisburn Youth FC. In the spring of 1999 he left his hometown Lisburn and signed with Linfield FC. Gault played for Linfield in 315 IFA Premiership games up to the summer of 2014 , scoring ten goals. Gault played a total of 430 games for the club and scored 50 goals (including the trophy).

He moved from Linfield FC to Portadown FC on August 5, 2014 . The long-time team captain of Linfield, received a contract with Portadown FC until June 30, 2016.

National team

Gault is a unique Northern Irish national player . He made his debut on March 28, 2008 against Georgia. Before that, he played two international matches for the Northern Irish U-21s in 2005.

Personal

In addition to his career, Gault is a PE teacher at the Rathmore Grammar School in Finaghy , Belfast . Gault is a Roman Catholic , making him the first Catholic in Linfield FC history to lead the team onto the pitch in 2011.
