Michael Grohotolsky

Michael Grohotolsky (* in Vienna ) is an Austrian conductor and singing teacher.

Live and act

Grohotolsky was an alto soloist with the Vienna Boys' Choir and attended the Vienna Music School . This was followed by a degree in music and singing education. He then directed the Chorus Viennensis from 2000 to 2007 . In 2001 he became choir director at the Neue Oper Vienna . Since 2005 he and Johannes Prinz have directed the Vienna Chamber Choir founded by Franz Andreas Weißenbäck and became its artistic director in 2007. Since 2006 he has also been teaching conducting, ensemble and instrumental conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna .
