Michael Cave

Michael Höhle (* 1961 in Kyritz ) is a German Roman Catholic church historian .

Life

He studied theology in Erfurt , Berlin and Bonn , where he received his doctorate in 1996 and habilitated in 2001 . Since 1989 has been pastoral care in the service of the Archdiocese of Berlin . Since 2002 he has taught at the University of Berlin and in Frankfurt (Oder) at the European University Viadrina , where he since 2006 after Umhabilitation as adjunct professor was nominated for Medieval and Modern Church History. Since 2005 he has been pastor of the Holy Family congregation (Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg) . He is chairman of the Diocesan History Association in the Archdiocese of Berlin and editor of the Wichmann Yearbook of the Diocesan History Association of Berlin .

His main research interests are the history of Christianity, religious movements, the history of the Reformation and the history of the Church in Berlin and Brandenburg.
