Michael Ralf Huebner (born April 30, 1973 in Kirchhellen ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He is a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Michael Hübner grew up in Gladbeck . He passed his Abitur examination at the Heisenberg High School in 1992 . He then studied political science, history and public law at the Gerhard Mercator University in Duisburg. After graduating, he did his community service. He then worked professionally as a health care consultant. Between 2009 and 2015 he headed a pharmaceutical manufacturing company (Steinweg Medical GmbH, Castrop-Rauxel ).

He is married and has two children.

Michael Hübner has been a member of the SPD since 1993 . Since 2000 chairman of the SPD local association Gladbeck-Butendorf. 1999 to 2004 competent citizen in the planning and construction committee of the city of Gladbeck. Since 2004 member of the council of the city of Gladbeck, there chairman of the SPD council group, since 2009 deputy chairman of the committee for integrated inner city development, deputy chairman of the main and finance committee and since 2014 deputy chairman of the cultural committee.

Michael Hübner ran for the first time in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 for the state constituency of Recklinghausen III and moved into the state parliament with a direct mandate. In 2017 he was able to secure his mandate for the third time with 40.7% of the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia . In September 2015, the SPD parliamentary group elected him deputy chairman. In the SPD parliamentary group, he is responsible for the areas of economy, energy and Europe.

In 2019 he was unanimously nominated by his party as a candidate for the office of district administrator in the Recklinghausen district .
