Michael Hellweger (born October 28, 1996 in Bolzano ) is an Italian cross-country skier .

Career

Hellweger took part in U20 competitions in the Alpencup from 2012 to 2015 . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2016 in Râșnov , he finished 31st in the sprint. In December 2016 he started in Valdidentro in adult races in the Alpine Cup and achieved 78th place over 15 km freestyle and 62nd place over 15 km classic. He ran his first World Cup race in Toblach in January 2017 , which he finished in 62nd place in the sprint. In January 2018 he got his first World Cup points with the 24th place in the sprint in Dresden .
