Michael Irani (born October 6, 1982 in Jönköping ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player .

Career

Michael Irani began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HV 71 Jönköping , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Elitserien in the 2000/01 season . The defender remained pointless and punished in three games. The defender then spent one season each in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan at Gislaveds SK and AIK Solna .

From 2003 to 2007 Irani played in his first engagement abroad for ASG Angers in the French Ligue Magnus and won the Coupe de France , the French cup competition , with his team in 2007 . He then stood for three years for Nybro Vikings IF on the ice, with which he was relegated to third-class Division 1 after two years in HockeyAllsvenskan. In the 2010/11 season, the former Swedish youth international played again for Angers in Ligue Magnus. He then ended his career at the age of 28.

International

For Sweden , Irani took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2000 , where he finished third with his team.
