Michael Jackson (Author)
Michael Jackson (born March 27, 1942 in Wetherby , West Yorkshire , England , † August 30, 2007 in London ) was a British expert in the field of beer and whiskey tasting ( degustation ) and author of various standard works on the subject.
Life
In 1994 he received the Glenfiddich Trophy . In 2006, it was revealed that Jackson had Parkinson's disease .
Jackson had a great influence on the categorization of beer types in the English-speaking world, especially his book The World Guide to Beer , published in 1977, set new standards here.
His nickname was Beerhunter ( English for "beer hunter" and a play on words with deerhunter , "stag or deer hunter").
Michael Jackson died of a heart attack in his London apartment.
