Michael Jansen (artist)
Michael "Mike" Jansen (born December 28, 1951 in Bochum ) is a visual artist and composer.
biography
Michael Jansen was an assistant and master student of Kurt Link . Then he worked together with Joseph Beuys on "Room 3, the whole German post-war poetry ...". His work at the Free International University (FIU) and his collaboration with John Cage influenced Jansen and promoted his artistic intentions. Jansen held visiting professorships at the University of the Arts, Bremen (Free Art / Intermedien) and at the Center Europeen d'Art Contemporain, Vallauris . Jansen also appeared as a pianist and electronics technician, especially with padlt noidlt (with Frank Köllges , Mike Hentz , Andreas Brüning ); In 1980 he gave a concert with John Cage in the occupied Stollwerck building .
Jansen lives and works in Düsseldorf , Belgium and Austria.
