Michael Jost (born September 26, 1988 in Berlin ) is a German basketball player . He is under contract with the Rostock Seawolves .
career
Jost first played for TSV Rudow 1888 in his hometown of Berlin . In the 2007/08 season he came to Central Hoops Berlin to appearances in the men's area in the first regional league and in December 2007 moved to RSV Eintracht in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB .
For the 2009/10 season Jost went to Science City Jena in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . Thanks to a double license, he was also authorized to play for the first division club Mitteldeutscher BC .
In the following years he worked at several clubs in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA, before Jost was signed by the Bundesliga club Crailsheim Merlins in 2015 . In contrast to the 2009/10 season, when he was only allowed a brief assignment in Germany's top division at MBC, he was on the field for Crailsheim in 31 Bundesliga games for an average of twelve minutes in the 2015/16 season and statistically scored 3 , 4 points per encounter. Jost and his team missed staying in the Bundesliga this season, but remained loyal to the club even after relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. In May 2018, Jost was promoted to the Bundesliga with the Hohenlohern as runner-up in the ProA. He left Crailsheim after this success and switched to ProA newcomer Rostock Seawolves .
