Michael Kelly (physicist)
Michael Joseph Kelly (born May 14, 1949 in New Plymouth , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand physicist .
Life
Kelly studied at Victoria University of Wellington , where she received her BSc and MSc. In 1971 he went to England and received his PhD from the University of Cambridge under Volker Heine . His main research area is the fundamentals of electron transport. From 1992 to 2001 he was a professor and various other positions at the University of Surrey . Since 2001 he has been a professor at the University of Cambridge.
Kelly was named after the hacker incident on climate research center of the University of East Anglia in the commission of inquiry of the University of East Anglia and the Royal Society called.
Kelly repeatedly warned of the dangers of so-called "alarmism" about global warming , thus denying the scientific consensus on man-made global warming.
