Michael Kempf
Michael Kempf (born February 21, 1977 in Sigmaringen ) is a German chef .
Career
After training in Saulgau , Kempf went to Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe for three years under Lothar Eiermann in 1996 . In 1999 he moved to the fishing guild under André Jaeger in Schaffhausen and in 2001 to the three-star restaurant Dieter Müller under Dieter Müller in Bergisch Gladbach .
In 2003 he became head chef at the Facil in Berlin , where he received a Michelin star in his first year at the age of 26 . The second Michelin star followed in 2013.
Since 2015 he has been kitchen director at The Mandala Hotel , where the Facil is located; his successor as head chef is his longtime sous chef Joachim Gerner .
Michael Kempf has been strengthening the cooking team of the ARD broadcast ARD-Buffet since January 2011 .
