Michael Krammer

Michael Krammer (born August 17, 1960 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager and entrepreneur (ventocom GmbH). He was President of SK Rapid Vienna from November 2013 to November 2019 . Before that, he was managing director of the mobile operator Orange (formerly ONE) from 2007 to 2012 .

life and career

Between May 2006 and January 2007 he was the managing director of the German mobile operator E-Plus . Prior to that, he was active in the Austrian market, where he was the service manager at max.mobil. - today's Magenta Telekom - the mobile communications provider tele.ring initially as head of marketing and later as managing director of a successful network operator, which was taken over in 2006 by what was then T-Mobile Austria for 1.3 billion euros. The previous owner, Western Wireless International , had acquired the company almost five years earlier for a nominal purchase price of just EUR 10.

In 2013, founded the company Krammer Ventocom which other companies the opportunity to offer MVNO s, which is to launch mobile service provider under their own brand. Ventocom takes care of the technical side, while the partner companies handle sales and advertising. The most successful project to date from such a partnership is HoT Hofer Telekom , which was created in cooperation with the Austrian food retail chain Hofer . As of October 2019, ventocom has a total of 1 million customers, the majority of which are attributed to HoT.

Before working in the mobile communications industry, Michael Krammer was an officer in the Austrian Armed Forces from 1983 to 1990 and then worked for the ÖAMTC until 1998 .

In the course of the 2013 National Council elections, he was chairman of the personal committee of ÖVP top candidate Michael Spindelegger .

From November 18, 2013, he was the club president of SK Rapid Wien , succeeding Rudolf Edlinger . He resigned from the office of president in November 2019. Martin Bruckner was elected as his successor .

Michael Krammer is married and has three children.
