Michael Lark (born before 1990) is an American comic book artist .

Life

Lark, who began working as a full-time comic book artist in the early 1990s, has in the past mainly worked as an artist for the two leading US comic publishers DC Comics and Marvel Comics .

His work includes drawing jobs for such well-known series as the superhero comic Batman , the crime comic Gotham Central (# 1–10, 12–15, 19–25) and the science fiction saga Legend of the Hawkman (# 1– 3) for DC Comics or for the Marvel series Daredevil , Captain America and The Pulse . For DC's Vertigo imprint , Lark designed comics such as Terminal City (# 1–9), Terminal City: Aerial Graffiti (# 1–5), Books of Magic, Scene of Crime (# 1–4), Shade: The Changing Man ( # 58) and Sandman Mystery Theater (# 57-60).

Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka are among the authors with whom Lark, who has received the Eisner Award and the Harvey Award for his work, has worked frequently in the past .

Works that Lark has submitted for smaller publishers are Caliber Presents (# 19-22), Caliber Summer Special # 1, Airwaves (# 1-5) and Taken Under: Compendium # 1 for Caliber Comics.

In addition, there are illustrations of literary works: Lark has visualized some works by the satirical writer Ambrose Bierce for Mojo Press under the title Occurrences: The Illustrated Ambroce Bierce and the graphic novels The Best of Ray Bradbury: The Graphic Novel and the graphic novels for Ibooks and Topps. Ray Bradbury's Comic Special Edition # 1 drawn based on the works of science fiction writer Ray Bradbury .
