Michael Laufer

Michael Laufer is a German basketball trainer and official.

career

From 1976 to 1981 Laufer studied at the German Sport University in Cologne and graduated as a certified sports teacher. He then completed an additional biology degree at the University of Cologne between 1981 and 1985 . From 1981 to 1994 he worked as a teacher at the Kardinal-Frings-Gymnasium in Bonn  .

Between 1979 and 1991 Laufer held various offices for the basketball Bundesliga club BSC Saturn Cologne , including as managing director. During this time, the Cologne team won four German championship titles and three DBB cup victories.

In 1994 Michael Laufer took over the management of the Schloss Hagerhof boarding school , and in 1996 the management of Schloss Hagerhof GmbH & Co.KG.

In 1993 he led the men's team of Rhöndorfer TV as a coach for promotion to the 2nd basketball division and in 1995 for promotion to the basketball division . Then Laufer initially devoted himself to his duties at Hagerhof Castle, but returned to the coaching position during the 1995/96 Bundesliga season and ensured that the Rhöndorfer were not relegated. He then gave the office to Tom Schneeman .
