Michael Liebel

Michael Liebel junior (born December 12, 1870 in Erie , Pennsylvania , † August 8, 1927 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania) was an American politician.

Liebel, the Canisius College visited Buffalo in the State of New York and then worked for five in New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad in Buffalo. Liebel now returned to Erie and worked in the hardware trade. From 1906 to 1911 he was mayor of Erie. Liebel, who was a delegate at the four-yearly Democratic National Convention from 1908 to 1924 with the exception of 1922 , was elected to the 64th Congress for his party and represented the state of Pennsylvania from March 4, 1915 to March 3, 1917 US House of Representatives . In 1916 he was not available for a new candidacy. After leaving politics, he returned to his previous job. Liebel died in Philadelphia in 1927 and was buried in Trinity Cemetery in Erie.
