Michael Liwowski

Michael Liwowski (born July 5, 1951 in Tangermünde ; † August 9, 2011 in Klötze ) was a German politician ( CDU ) who was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from 1990 to 1991 .

Education and life

Michael Liwowski finished school after the 10th grade, completed an apprenticeship at the ship repair yard Tangermünde and attended the vocational school in Stendal. He then worked as a machine fitter at the Tangermünde shipyard. This was followed by studies at the technical college for mechanical engineering and electrical engineering in Magdeburg. He then worked as a mechanical shift engineer at VEB Holzausfonnungswerk Tangermünde, as investment construction manager in the local chocolate factory and was managing director of Ökologische Produkte Altmark GmbH in Klötze from 1998 until its insolvency in October 2001.

Michael Liwowski was a Roman Catholic, married and had two children.

Michael Liwowski joined the Eastern CDU, became a member of its party executive committee and deputy party chairman of the district of Klötze. He had been a member of the local district council since 1979 and was a council member responsible for environmental protection, water management and recreation until 1989. After the reunification, he worked as an honorary district administrator of the Klötze district and district chairman of the " Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald ".

He was the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990 in the state election Salzwedel Clogs selected (WK 1) directly into the state parliament.

At the constituent meeting of the CDU parliamentary group on October 16, 1990, he ran as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group, but was defeated by 8 against 31 votes against Joachim Auer .
