Michael Lohscheller (born November 12, 1968 in Bocholt ) has been Managing Director of Opel Automobile GmbH since June 2017 and also a member of the Board of Management of Groupe PSA since July 2019.

education

Lohscheller studied at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences as well as at the University of Barcelona and graduated with a degree in business administration. From 1993 to 1996 he studied European marketing management at Brunel University in London, with a Master of Arts degree.

Professional background

Lohscheller began his career in 1992 as a controller at Jungheinrich AG .

After working as a segment controller at DaimlerChrysler Rail , he moved to Mitsubishi Motors in 2001 , where he was promoted to CFO.

In 2004 Lohscheller started as Head of Group Marketing and Sales Control at Volkswagen AG . After four years, he took over the position of CFO of the Volkswagen Group of America.

In 2012, Lohscheller moved to Adam Opel AG , where he became a member of the board of the Rüsselsheim-based automobile manufacturer.

In June 2017 he was promoted to managing director of the car manufacturer, which has meanwhile been converted into Opel Automobile GmbH , succeeding Karl-Thomas Neumann .

Private

Michael Lohscheller is married and has two children. He is an avid marathon runner and has participated in over 100 marathons.
