Michael Mathias Smids
Michael Mathias Smids , actually Michiel Mattysz Smidts , (born July 11, 1626 in Breda , † July 24, 1692 in Berlin ) was a Dutch builder who worked in Brandenburg from 1656 .
He built the fortifications and the Berlin Palace and its ancillary facilities in old Berlin . He also built the Dorotheenstädtische Church and the tower of the Marienkirche, which was destroyed by fire .
