Michael Mingler

Michael Mingler (born August 6, 1991 ) is an Austrian politician of the Greens . He was sworn in as a member of the Tyrolean state parliament on March 28, 2018 .

Life, education and work

Mingler grew up in Trins and attended secondary school in Steinach am Brenner and later the BORG Fallmerayerstraße in Innsbruck, where he graduated in 2009. He then studied law and political science at the University of Innsbruck . He completed his studies in 2016 and 2015 and then completed his legal practice at the Innsbruck District, State and Higher Regional Court. Mingler wrote his diploma thesis on the subject of "The cross in school and kindergarten on the fundamental rights test bench" . Mingler lives in Rum near Innsbruck. He worked as an employee of the Innsbruck-Land district administration and the satirical newspaper “ Die Tagespresse ”.

Political activity

From 2010 to 2014 Mingler was a substitute councilor in his home town of Trins. Since 2015, Mingler has held several party functions in the state committee and board of the Tyrolean Greens . In the run-up to the Tyrolean state elections in 2018 , he was elected to second place on the Innsbruck-Land district list of the Tyrolean Greens. The basic mandate, which Ingrid Felipe achieved in first place, has been held by Mingler since March 28, 2018, as Felipe was elected to the state government. Mingler is therefore a member of the Tyrolean Parliament of the XVII. Legislative period .

The politician Mingler is known for special actions as part of his political activities. In the run-up to the state elections, Mingler attracted attention for example with an action in which he was looking for “the rancidest flat share in the country”.
